(More customer reviews)I purchased this laptop in silver with 320gb. It was fantastic for the price and as a student with little money, it seemed like a good buy. I love to play video games and the laptop had a good processor and the graphics chip was enough to get by with most of my games. Unfortunately, after 3 months of heavy heavy use, the battery began to not charge past 49%. I tried something the Gateway website said to do to fix it and now my laptop turns on and the fan runs but the screen will not come on at all. This laptop over heats horribly and now doesn't even run. Not to mention the battery life hardly doing more than 2 hours, even when just writing an essay on Word Processor.
The looks are very visually pleasing but it is built badly, I had it on a bed and it took a 2 foot tumble when I first bought it, and the plastic surrounding the keyboard cracked. This didn't at all affect the performance, but the plastic is very flimsy and doesn't seem to hold up well.
