I got this laptop when I started college (class of 2013) and I love it! Out of the box, it is fast, sleek, fun, and effective! I'm a computer engineering student with a top-of-the-line custom desktop PC, so I'm used to speed and responsiveness and this computer gets it done whether it be on the road, in class, or on the couch. I'm a student, so it gets a lot of use and it takes the beating like a champ. I'd say it's running every hour I'm awake. I rarely turn it off; I normally just put it to sleep and it wakes back up promptly when I need it. This summer, I upgraded the RAM from 4GB to 8GB and added an OCZ Solid State Drive (50GB) to replace the mediocre Seagate that came stock. I also swapped the optical drive with a 300GB Western Digital (7200 RPMs) to give me some extra storage. Windows 7 makes it easy to map your libraries to a second hard drive so that you can experience the lightning fast response time of an SSD for under $100 without giving up storage space.
Bottom line: This laptop is a great buy. It has exceeded my expectations and does everything I need it to without melting any furniture (see 1 star commenter who reviewed the software on the computer instead of the actual computer -- just clean install windows and you're good).
