(More customer reviews)The only good thing about Gateway products anymore is that they are cheap. This computer does not ship with an original Windows 7 disk and you can not register a Gateway product without releasing all and I mean all your personal data including your personal telephone number and personal street address. Do not even consider using a PO Box for an address. They will not register the product.
Support, Live Chat, does not seem to have a grasp of any knowledge of a computer and attempts to up sell you to paid support. They consider it seems that anything other than a complete reinstall of Windows 7 to be an operating system upgrade and will not handle. There appears to be no way to "Repair" the Windows 7 install with the recovery system installed on the computer and you can only do a complete install.
Acer( the owner of Gateway ) and Gateway need to upgrade their support before I would purchase another Gateway or Acer product. If you purchase this consider it a throw away machine in the event that you need tech support. If you need a Windows 7 disk.........purchase one at your local computer store.
