THIS IS A FLAWY DESIGN, KEEP AWAY FROM THIS BRAND-LINE-MODEL
There is a lot of information about the statement below in LENOVO forums about this issues, it is not casual.
In 6 month, this machine had presented problems with:
1. a left hinge that seems to float.
2. sticky keyboard or unresponsive.
3. loose keys (in my case the return case, obviously one of repeated use).
4. discrete video card fried, that will hang the rest of the machine if not disable properly.
5. undetermined thermal issues, randomly appearing, possibly related to video card problems.
I must add that LENOVO site is slow with driver updates, who knows if the problem with video is a result of its faulty design and the need of special care with its drivers. Besides, there is not even a software tool for doing some diagnostics that can guide you some way with this problems. Most of the information comes from other advanced user that had registered in its forum these problems and possible solutions.
This was my original review few days after receiving this machine. Just compare what is the result of extensive work with it.
It is in fact a great machine, powerful and speedy, great for gaming and without to much heat from it.
Be careful about the seagate hard disk it comes with. It has many bad reviews and in fact mine is already giving me warnings about limited life span because of early failure detection. It is just a statistical thing from the internal S.M.A.R.T. system (you will need a special software to check it), but it is already having issues with the reading. It only affect disk performance lightly, but in the long run I will have to replace this disk surely (hope not too soon)....
