(More customer reviews)I am a long time user of Thinkpads: I had a T43 and a T61 from my former company. When I left this company, I missed the Thinkpads because of their trackpoint mouse, comfort keyboard and resistance. So I purchased this T410i.
Let me tell you, as an old (8y+) Lenovo user, I am completely disappointed with the T410:
- As soon as I started using it, I found hardware/drivers glitches (the wireless stops working suddenly and the DVD/CD drive doesn't recognize most of CD-Rs I have). I tried replacing the drivers from the new and confusing Lenovo's website without success
- Battery doesn't last more than 2 hours (and this was supposed to be a business laptop)
- The keyboard is very uncomfortable (pretty different from old T43 and T61 keyboards) and there is an annoying Fn key in the place of the Ctrl key
Besides that, there are smaller things I would not mentioned if the above three things were not true, such as:
- The plastic case looks to be a low quality material
- The laptop is too thick
- The audio and mic jacks are joint (which means you cannot use your traditional headphone with mic)
I can say that I will never buy a Lenovo again. For sure.
