(More customer reviews)As the title reads, this laptop is simply a bargain. I've had this laptop for a couple of months now and I can now say I do not regret the purchase. Not only does it come with a beautiful 17.3 inch screen, Core i5 processor, Nvidia graphics chip, and the best touch pad, but it comes with a Blu-ray player (though I'm not entirely sure if it's still the case since I see no mention of Blu-ray in the specs). The two things I really love about this laptop is the touch pad and audio for both speakers AND earphones.
The touch pad has a bumpy texture, which gives you the perfect tactile feedback as you glide your fingers across its surface. I cannot go back to the smooth surface touch pads after having used this for three months. It gets even better. It has this really cool gesture functionality. You can scroll by simply using two fingers as opposed to one. Although I had to disable the zoom gesture functionality to get it working perfectly, but I was okay with that since I had little use for it. Most of time I'm either moving my mouse pointer around, scrolling, tapping, double-tapping, and double-tapping + dragging. The touch pad does it all.
The sound is excellent. For such a cheap laptop, the speakers are surprisingly pretty good compared to what I got on my Dell Inspiron laptops. When using my earphones I get no static at all, which I was extremely happy about since my previous laptops had that issue.
Overall I'm happy with my purchase. I'm a web developer and I use this as both my work and personal computer. It has enough memory (4GB DDR3 Memory) for all my heavy development IDEs and tools. As for the HDD, I took it out immediately and replaced it with my Intel 60GB SSD drive, so I can't say much about it. But I highly recommend an SSD drive. It breathes new life into your machine and speeds up everything 10 fold.
