(More customer reviews)I think the reviews for this laptop are skewed because only people with bad experiences were vocal. I bought this laptop (the 1520) for $700 with a dedicated 512 Mb video card, and it is an excellent inexpensive machine. It has been with me on the airplanes and cars, traveled around the world twice, plugged in and on the battery, in the bag and without the bag, just shoved under the seat in front of me - it just works. It is not a magnesium body, lit keyboard travel workstation but it also costs 1/3 of such. I can afford to replace it in a couple of years - laptops are becoming more of a consumable or maintenance item if you use computers for work, so buying the cutting edge makes less and less sense. I have been buying the Vostro line for several years now and have been very pleased with them.
