the ergonomics of this laptop suck.
PALM PAIN: the keyboard is off center to the left, which puts your left palm on the front left corner of the laptop when using the built-in mouse/pointer just below the spacebar. It probably sounds trivial, but if you do a lot of surfing you'll find that the front corner of the laptop is digging into your palm - instead of being able to rest them comfortably on the laptop.
TEXTURE: my old HP had a texturized surface off to the sides of the mouse/pointer so you knew where the border was... there's no texture difference on this device so you have to fumble around to find where the mouse device begins.
POINTER JUMP: I'm not sure what sets this thing off, but in the middle of typing stuff the pointer moves to a different place in the email or word document and when I look up 1/2 my sentence is inserted into a random place a paragraph above. I think it may be the little point control nub between the letters g & h on the keyboard, but I'm not sure.
I paid $800 for my HP pavilion back in '06 and I was much happier with that than I am with this thing I spent $1000 on. I tried to go with an 'off brand' for the added value... never again.
