(More customer reviews)After researching the ASUS model K52R-X1 against other trusted sites in which all gave it rave reviews I decided to purchase this system. The only difference being this model the K5R2-A1 hard drive is 500gb the X1 is 320 other than that there is no difference. I am also a computer professional but not being a hardware expert I check with my friends who are and for the specs all gave the thumbs ups. I wanted a system that could handle gaming, entertainment and business work like web development are examples. I went on and ordered it. I gave myself a Christmas present. I LOVE IT!!!. It is just what I expected. the Cons, just what you have been hearing about the ASUS PC's the bloatware, the requirmenet to backup the O/S to diskette. The partitioning of the hard drive putting the O/S on one. Other than that it is a beautiful little machine. Lightweight. Gaming is smooth. I am glad I purchased it. Had I gone with the only review on this site I wouldn't have bought it. keep in mind I went through months and months of research before buying a laptop and this made the cut for the specs and money. Amazon is great too. I purchased it at 12/21 11pm and it was shipped out 4am 12/22 and as I promised I rec'd it 12/24.
