I have a desktop in my bedroom for my gaming needs but needed a laptop to use in my living room while either my girlfriend or I watch tv, also i have work and school work to do, sometimes using Photoshop and Maya. Being a gamer i needed a little juice in my machine however i wasn't looking to spending over a $1000. Almost all the laptops i researched were either to weak or to expensive until i came to this baby. My desktop is an ASUS so I've become i big fan.
My Day one review, I love it so far. It's light, silent, and doesn't run hot,the reason being you can actually turn of the Nvidia gpu in favor of the Intel HD integrated video which saves energy for web browsing.
There is a lot of "bloat ware" but i don't mind, i'll check out which ones can be useful.
The benchmark for me however is how it can handle games, i loaded steam on it and installed my latest game, which is Shogun 2: Total war. I had to lower the settings from ultra to High then the game ran smoothly. So far this laptop is great!
I'll try to post updates as i play around with the system.
So far 5 star laptop.
Pros
brushed aluminum case, beautiful screen, long battery life, and can run Shogun 2 at High settings
Cons
the keyboard is a new design to me(trying to adjust), the "switch" from graphics card to integrated has like a 2-3 sec black screen, the camera sucks
