(More customer reviews)My wife bought this computer just over a month ago because she has a business that requires her to use a laptop non-stop. She takes it wherever she goes and needs a sturdy, fast laptop. This IBM is not as visually appealing as most and doesn't offer many of the media features that laptops of similar pricing offer, but she was willing to sacrifice this for a solid performer over the long-haul.
HOWEVER, immediately upon receiving the laptop she found that when she rests her hand on the laptop while typing, several keys on the left side appear to begin typing gibberish. It has gotten progressively worse, so now she is taking it to a local IBM repair shop, which thankfully is covered under warranty. This is a hassle and she is not happy to be back on her old laptop. Hopefully, the repair fixes the problem quickly.
This flaw has already made us wonder if IBM makes laptops like they used to, and whether we made a mistake in purchasing this. If the problem isn't resolved quickly, we will be regretting paying top dollar for a laptop when we could have purchased a Dell or HP for several hundred dollars less.
The jury is still out on this but so far we are not pleased with this purchase.
